The bot known as Blackbox was originally a navigation bot for an experimental FTL space craft. It now wanders the wastes of TAPU

Legend has it that Blackbox has travelled to the end of time and space itself, only to return and crash land on The Gutterlands. Blackbox was trapped in the wreckage for years, eventually dragging itself out with many of the cables still attached. 

An enormous wealth of scientific information populates its memory banks, priceless in the right hands. Time travel, infinite energy... the meaning of existence, all for the taking. Blackbox wanders the wastes looking to offload this knowledge.

But this is The Gutterlands... no one cares about science, they don't even know how to download it from Blackbox, they just take pot shots at it sometimes for fun.
