The Worm In the Well is just that... A worm in a well. RESPITE TOWN WELL to be more specific. The worm hasn't been seen too much but has been described as spiny, spikey and massive.

The Worm is hidden, many of the Respite residents have no idea it's there but it's effects are widely felt. The Worm secretes a toxin into the well water that when ingested causes the victim to have vivid dreams of loved ones, only to eventually have them wiped from your memory completely.

Some  believe the toxin creates a psychic link with the worm, feeding it somehow. Others just believe it is a local scheme to make pnewcomers buy more bottled beer at the KINGS END INN.

Either way the Worm is still in the well, A lot of people who arrive to Respite want to forget anyway so they leave the Worm to it. Also...
